Future of Tablet and Computer Paper Tab

Plastic Logic,Queen University and Intel® Labs are conjointly develop thin, flexible, plastic touchscreen display at the Human Media Lab at Queens University in Ontario, Canada
Paper Tab  features a flexible, high-resolution and fully interactive 10.7-inch(27.2-cm) plastic touchscreen display built by Plastic Logic, and relies on a second-generation Intel Core i5 processor which is housed in an outdoor unit, that connects to all or any of the Paper Tabs

Instead of using several application or windows on a single display, users have ten or more interactive displays or “Paper Tabs”: one paper tab for one app.

Paper Tab
Paper Tab ( Img Source : Human Media Lab)
The Paper Tab file and display thousands of paper documents, replacing the need for a computer monitor and stacks of papers or printouts. Unlike traditional tablets, Paper Tabs keep track of their location relative to each other, and the user, providing a seamless experience across all apps, as if they were physical computer windows. For example, when a PaperTab is placed outside of reaching distance it reverts to a thumbnail overview of a document, just like icons on a computer desktop. When picked up or touched a Paper Tab switches back to a full screen page view, just like opening a window on a computer.

How it Work:
To fast-forward or rewind a video, simply bend the top corners of the tablet.
To see a picture in a bigger frame, the user can put two Paper Tabs next to each other, and theyre smart enough to create one big picture.
Even when two Paper Tabs are "attached," since everything is editable, It is easy to drag and drop icons or objects from one Paper Tab to the other.
To flip through pages in a book or article, one can fold your Paper Tab in half or curl the right side
Emails can be sent simply by bending the top corner of the tab
By bending one side of the display, users can navigate through pages like a magazine without needing to press a button.

Gigabyte S1082 and S1185 Tablet with Full HD display and Windows 8

Gigabyte has introduced the S1082 and S1185, two new tablets, which are equipped with an Intel Ivy Bridge processor, a Full HD display and Windows 8.

Gigabyte has announced two new Windows 8 equal tablets that are to come within the next few weeks on the market. The Gigabyte S1185 has a Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels. They include an Intel Ivy Bridge processor hiding with 4GB memory and various storage options. Particularly interesting is the Gigabyte S1185 is due to an optional keyboard that is attached by magnets to the tablet.

The Gigabyte S1185 has all the ports that you could want from a current Windows 8 tablet. This of course includes a USB port and a VGA and HDMI output. There are also two cameras and an optional mouse.

Ultimately, the Gigabyte S1082 with the S1185 is the same, but should concentrate more on business customers. Also, the S1082 has thus a Sandy Bridge processor and a 10.1 inch Full HD display. In this case, however, you can choose between an SSD and a normal large 500GB hard drive, especially if you need a lot of memory. In addition, the Gigabyte S1082 is equipped with UMTS / HSDPA, so you are not only dependent on WLAN.

Gigabyte was in Germany so far, both with convertibles, as well as netbooks not so very successful. This is simply because that device from Gigabyte are often widely available. It is also highly unlikely that these two Windows 8 tablets will be successful. Therefore, the competition is just too great.

How To Optimize Your Android Tablet

How To Optimize Your Android Tablet

How to Optimize Your Android Tablet does not mean improving existing performance by providing additional hardware, but take advantage of existing applications and customize the habit of using the Android tablet. So that Android tablets can run efficiently and effectively to support your work.

Optimization of precedence for Tablets based on Android operating system below or before Android 4 Jelly Bean. As an open operating system is now beginning to dominate the market of tablets and smartphones, Google will continue to develop the Android operating system to be perfect and without any gaps.

So at some point, Android tablets will be able to run optimally without requiring too much user roles. Android operating system now has succeeded in establishing its own market and shift the other operating system, Googles ambitions to dominate the market will continue to push the Android progressed to a higher version.

As one of the users of Android Tablets, you should know the condition of the tablet which you are using, including the battery information, usage data plan, download speed and others. In principle, the optimization process is to monitor the flaws or weaknesses that happens, then returns to its original state. Thus, the Android tablet you are always in top condition.

Here are tips that may be considered

1. Effective use of pulse
Service providers usually provide various kinds of packages based on a daily, weekly or monthly, and the amount of data according to user needs. Choose a package that suits your needs. This step is one of the important effort to optimize. Option that is not appropriate to make use of a pulse on your Android tablet to be extravagant.

2. Monitor and manage your Android Tablet
You can use the All-in-One Toolbox, this application has several tools to monitor and optimize Android, among others, the use of packet data, battery information, do not disturb mode, task killer, uninstaller, system cleaner, lock apps, apps to SD , and so on.

Application for Google Android Tablet or tablet-based Android operating system, available for free on Google Play or Play Store (formerly called the Android Market). To be able to access your Gmail account is required. If you have not yet, you can register for free - as well as your email address.

Gmail account setup process is very easy and only takes a few minutes. Fill in your details in the fields requested Gmail account, then be verified via SMS or phone. Some vendors that use Android Operating system also provides an application, such as Samsung presents Samsung Apps.

3. Sparing use of Batteries
To economize on battery you can try underclock feature which can be accessed directly from the menu. This feature serves to reduce the speed of the processor, if it is in your Android processor 1GHz speed, once it will underclock to 800 Mhz. Consideration because you do not always need the speed of 1GHz, but was required, the velocity can be returned at 1GHz. This is one solution to save battery usage, without reducing the performance of the Android Tablet.

Saving battery can also be done using JuiceDefender Ultimate. This application serves to control the activation of packet data or Wi-Fi and background applications are not required. When the battery is running low, this feature will shut down all connectivity is not required, so the use of the battery will be very effective.

4. Set Memory Capacity
If at any time the memory is on the verge of capacity limits, while you still need to use the Android tablet for something very important, then you need applications that can be used to manage memory automatically. One application for this purpose is the Optimus Root Memory Optimizer. This application aims to improve system performance and battery life by adjusting the settings of internal memory Android. Same application for for Android, such as ES File Explorer, Dr saver + a Task Killer, App 2 SD can be selected in accordance with user preferences.

5. Clean up trash on Android Tablet
Cache and history that is not needed is a waste load Android Tablet. To overcome this problem could be used Cleaner Application that can remove cahe and history at specified time intervals. Besides being able to improve the performance of Android tablets, removing trash will also make the battery life longer.

Cleaner Application in accordance with user preferences can be downloaded from Android Market. Some examples of applications are:

Clean Master. This application is used to clean up trash History, Residual Files, and Tasks. Clean Master has additional features App Manager to manage applications in a way to backup or to uninstall. Cache and Privacy contained in History. The cache contains files from multiple applications stored to support the process to make it faster, such as images that are stored on Google Maps, each opening a new folder then map it will be stored in memory. Privacy contain traces of Internet browsing, SMS, MMS, and search.

Dumpster. This application is used to delete files that are not required, but can be restored if one is needed. By default, this application is not just a back-up files are removed manually, but also backing up the cache files are removed periodically by other applications. If you use this application, do not use the defaults, because it will hoard all the garbage dumped other applications.

There are still a lot of Cleaner application that can be downloaded, such as Tap Cleaner, and Cache Cleaner App. Cleaner application can be selected in accordance with user preferences.

By optimizing the Android Tablet, you will not only improve the performance of your tablet, but also constantly monitored continuously. If you do that, then you are also forming new habits that are positive.

When the performance of the Android Tablet you are always in optimal condition, then at the same time you have to learn to have effective habits and behaviors, carefully and critically. Then, apply this practice on each task and the work you do.

Use Android Tablet in total to support your interests and develop positive habits. Do not become a victim of technology and promotion of the tablet manufacturers. But decided to make a smart choice, if you become a boon to consumers, the product you buy should be able to provide as much benefit to you.

Verizon Ellipsis 7 tablet becomes the first in a line of a Value category of devices

This morning a note has been passed from the inner Verizon meetings sanctum which suggests that the Ellipsis 7 will be the first device in a range of products from the carrier. This device – titled Verizon Ellipsis 7 in full – will be the first in a line of Ellipsis products, Verizon describing this as “a value category” unique to the carrier. This device will work with a 7-inch display and a quad-core processor (likely MediaTek) alongside some version of Android – all the basics.

With the Verizon Ellipsis 7, the company aims to enter a new age – one in which they, once again, control the name of the product well and above the name of the manufacturer. Verizon isn’t exactly the lowest on the list in warriors on the carrier side of the battle between carriers and manufacturers, holding sway over the label locations and applications inserted into devices since inception. Here the carrier brings a tablet of their own.

While we do not know the name of the manufacturer – nor indeed the version of Android or name of the processor inside – we can tell that this tablet aims to be rather competitive with the other similar-sized devices on the market. In the slip of paper leaked today by PhoneArena, we can see that Verizon aims to make this device “comparable to other Android tablets.”

Inside you’ll find a tiny 8GB of internal storage as well as a microSD card slot for expansion – likely at about 32GB more. The Ellipsis 7 will be working on Verizon’s 4G LTE network and will be working with or without a 2-year contract.

Beyond that, there’s not a whole lot else you’re going to need to know about this machine. It’ll be appearing on the 7th of November – right around a week from today – for $249.99. Where this gets interesting is in Verizon’s 2-year contract offering of the device: there you’ll have a $100 discount on the tablet, making it $149.99 on-contract.SlashGear

PC sales tumble in Asia facing tough smartphone and tablet competition IDC

Sales of personal computers fell 10 percent in the Asia Pacific last year due to sluggish economic growth and tough competition from mobile devices, an industry analyst said Tuesday.

International Data Corporation (IDC) said sales of PCs fell to 108 million units in the Asia Pacific outside Japan, marking the regions first annual double digit decline.

"The economic sluggishness in big emerging markets in the region adversely affected buying sentiments," IDC said.

"On the consumer side, smartphone and tablet distractions spread throughout the region this year, further contributing to the sharp decline in the PC market."

IDC analyst Handoko Andi added that "2014 is expected to remain another challenging year for the PC market as competition will only grow among the devices."

Chinese PC maker Lenovo retained its top spot last year with a market share of 24.9 percent, although sales fell 9.5 percent year-on-year due to a slump in its home market China, IDC said.

US firm Hewlett-Packard was in second place with a market share of 10.5 percent, up from 8.9 percent as sales rose due largely to an education project in India.

Dell was in third spot with a 9.4 percent market share, as sales dipped 2.8 percent on a weaker China market.

It was trailed by Taiwans Acer and ASUS with a market share of 8.1 percent and 6.9 percent, respectively, according to IDC.

The decline in sales was sharpest for the Taiwan PC makers.

Sales for Acer fell by a whopping 28.6 percent as the company continued "to struggle with its product strategy," IDC said. ASUS sales were down by 13.4 percent.

Learn more about tablet PC

A tablet PC,which is smaller than a notebook but bigger than a smartphone,is compact enough to carry around. The portable size with mobile connectivity, you can have web,music,movie,e-book,game,office and more in the hands.

Touch, touch and go!The tablet PC changed our way using digital devices.

Whats A Tablet PC?
Tablet PC,a tablet computer,or a tablet,is a mobile computer, larger than a mobile phone or personal digital assistant, integrated into a flat touch screen and primarily operated by touching the screen rather than using a physical keyboard(You can also connect to USB keyboard as well if you need). If often uses an onscreen virtual keyboard,a passive stylus pen,or a digital pen.

Compact and light enough to take almost anywhere. You can have a larger 10.2 size one or a smaller to 5.0 only. Many tablet PCs can last over 6 hours with li-battery built-in and weight around 500g,while most notebook can last only around 2 hours battery life and has the weight over 2kg.Connect to Wi-Fi,or in some cases, connect to 3G and ethernet as well,a tablet offers mobile connectivity and interactive entertainment.

Operation System?
An "operating system" (also known as an "OS" in the lingo) is the program that runs your computers software and hardware, giving your device its on-screen look and feel. And while different operating systems have their own unique features, tablets generally follow the same basic user interface design irrespective of the OS used - that is,a series of home screens, similar to computer desktops, with shortcut icons.

In the case of tablets on the market today, there are three main operating systems:
  • Android is an operating system developed by Google. From Android 2.2 Froyo,Android 2.3 Gingerbread,Android 3.0 Honeycomb to the latest Android 4.0 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich). It offers an on-the-go web experience, supports Adobe Flash and an ever-growing number of apps(over 300,000) available from the Google Play Store(also named as Android Market before).Especially the latest Android 4.0 ICS has specially run very well on tablet PCs and brings lots of convenience to Android tablets users.
  • Windows 7 was developed by Microsoft and although this operating system isnt specially designed for tablet use,it still lets you navigate pretty effectively. In fact, it offers familiarity to anyone who uses a PC computer regularly, with a wide range of compatible software like Microsoft Office and Windows Media Player, plus it supports Adobe Flash player. In the future, Windows 8, is supposed to be more tablet-friendly.
  • Apple iOS is the operating system used in the iPad, as well as iPhone and iPod Touch. The biggest advantages of iOS are: its user-friendliness; smooth integration with other Apple products; and over 500,000 apps available through App Store. iOS looks good and works well, but you cant customise it a great deal - changing background colours and the order of your apps is about the limit - plus it wont play Adobe Flash content.

With updating features all the time, convenient interface and growing applications,Android OS has quickly won large market share.

What Can We Use A Tablet For?

Portable, practical and permanently connected,a tablet has so many benefits you can enjoy just about anywhere:

  • Work and play: Check emails, connect to social media sites,i.e. Facebook and Twitter, watch YouTube and video streaming, watch HD movies, play your favourite music and the latest games.
  • Apps: Hundreds of thousands of applications let you download games, music, news, business tools and more.
  • eReader: Like a mobile library at your fingertips, you can download and store your favourite books, magazines or newspapers and read them on the go.
  • Camera: Some tablets have two built-in cameras: a front-facing one for video-calling using Skype, plus a rear-facing camera for photos and video.
  • HDMI:  Most tablets have built-in mini HDMI port, which allows you to connect your tablet to TV and watch 1080P FULL HD or 2160 SUPER HD videos.
  • Bluetooth: Some tablets also support bluetooth function. You can transfer files from other bluetooth devices to tablets or simply connect to a bluetooth headphone.
  • Phone Call: Some tablets even comes with SIM card slot, you can directly insert a normal SIM card and make/receive phone calls, messages or connect to the internet via 3G,GPRS.
  • GPS: Some tablets offer satellite navigation with the latest maps, street-by-street directions and up-to-the-minute traffic conditions. The popular Android tablets such as Flytouch,Zenithink Z102.

The Size,Screen And Storage?
Nowdays, there are mostly 5.0,7.0,8.0,9.7 and 10.0 tablet PCs in the market. While the most popular ones are 7,9.7 and 10.With a bigger size, you can view more contents in one page. With a smaller one,you can take and use more easily.

There are currently resistive, capacitive and ips touch screen in the market.
Resistive touchscreen technology works well with almost any stylue-like object, and can also be operated with gloved fingers and bare fingers alike. In some circumstances, this is more desirable than a capacitive touchscreen, which has to be operated with a capacitive pointer, such as a bare finger (gloves will not work on capacitive touchscreens, off course,by the special stylus can also work in the capacitive).
However,As capacitive screens dont need much contact at all, you can swipe across them very lightly and get just as good a response as you would with a slow, full-fingered drag. By comparison, the vast majority of resistive touchscreen phones wont normally react at all to a very light swipe.
While, the ips touch screen is actually another technology also belongs to capacitive. We point it out separately because the ips can bring much clear performance to us.Such as the iPad 2 also uses ips touch screen. The ips touch screen tablet PCs can be usually more expensive since the cost of it is more.

There are usually 3 kinds of internal storage:4gb,8gb and 16gb tablet PCs in the market. The bigger it have, the more files you can put into the tablet. However, for most of the Android tablets, they support storage expansion as well by using external micro-sd/tf card or usb flasher.
And there are also 3 kinds of RAM(memory):256mb,512mb and 1gb tablet PCs in the market. Most of the cases,a bigger RAM means the tablet can hanle tasks faster and has stabler performance. But for most of normally usage, actually,a 512mb one is already ok.

Inernet Connection?
  • Almost all Android/Windows tablet PCs are Wi-Fi wireless. So you can access to internet when within range of a wireless network at home, cafes, work, school, and so on.
  • Some tablets also support ethernet. That means we can still use the normal internet cable to connect to the internet.
  • Many tablets are also 3G-capable.You can connect internet via 3G data by a external 3G modem or a SIM card if it has SIM card slot and supports.(Some can also surf web via GPRS)

The tablet PC changed our way using digital devices. With the growing Android and iPad users,it has been leading the main stream of fashion and life.
Get it and try it,lets enjoy the life today!

MTK or Allwinner chipset for Sanei N10 Quad Core 3G edition Phone Tablet

No internet no fun! With the popularity of quad-core tablet computers, now the wind of quad-core 3G is coming. The famous Sanei released the news of a 10.1 inch  N10 quad-core 3G edition Android tablet last week.

The quad-core CPU used in the new Sanei N10 quad-core 3G edition brings better operation experience for users! While which quad-core chipset used in this tablet is still unknown. And so far in the market, the hot chipsets that support 3G include MTK6589, Rockchip RK3188, Qualcomm quad-core 8 series etc. Whats more, the A31s released by Allwinner also supports powerful 3G function!

MTK6589, as the latest quad-core CPU from Mediatek, has the advantage in phone call field for mobile devices. However, it has some disadvantage under video decoding. The previous chipsets only support up to 720P files, though in MTK6589 already supports 1080P. But other chipsets already support 2160P or even 4K videos.

While RK3188 and A31s have advantage under video decoding and games playing. But unlike the MTK, they do not integrate 3G mode, to have built-in 3G function, an extra 3G mode is required to add in the board.

Though the qualcomm chipsets are widely used in mobile devices (the N10 Dual-Core 3G edition is using its chipset). The main stream high-end mobile phones are most using its chipset. It has very good performance under 3G, phone call functions. Qualcomm usually mean stability and quality! However, not every company can use its chipset cause of its expensive licensing fee.

Which chipset would be used in Sanei N10 Quad-Core 3G edition tablet computer, Tablets World would be firstly listing in our site once more information published with our long term cooperation with Sanei manufacturer!
