The Nokia N96, which was announced earlier this year at the 2008 Mobile World Congress, is the latest flagship Nseries, sporting a 5 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and autofocus. This big black beast also includes quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and WCDMA (2100MHz), WiFi, a built-in GPS receiver, and support for DVB-H mobile television.

The best part of the N96, in my opinion, however, is the innovative kickstand that’s located around the camera lens on the back of the hands. You can flick this little stand out to prop the handset up and watch video no matter where you are. Completely brilliant. The handset also dual-slides like the N95 but adds 2 gaming buttons to the media keys.

Play.com has the handset listed at 599.99 GBP ( $1,200USD) for preorder, saying they expect the handset to be released on the 31st of July. I realize this is a pre-release price, and thus is inflated, but seriously? What else can $1,200 buy you, currently? Well, the first thing that comes to my mind is the 1,111 Double Cheeseburgers at McDonald’s, for starters.

What else could you buy with $1,200, other than an Nokia N96?

(For the record, Nokia’s estimated retail price for the N96 is 404 GBP ($800USD), so don’t get too depressed just yet.)

Contohnya gini, lo punya seabrek tugas yang kudu lo kelarin malam ini dan ngumpulnya itu besok. Nah pada saat di mana elo harus mengerjakan itu tugas secara otodidak lo males. Jadi males yang gua letakkan di sini bermaksud B-O-S-A-N.

Yang sedang terjadi sama gua bukan bosan yang seperti gua contohin di atas. Bosan pada diri gua itu lain. Bisa mencakup segala bidang. Tidak semata di masalah kuliah, belajar, main, online, dan lain -lain. Ini aneh atau tidaknya gua kaga mikir ya. Yang jelas kalau gua berada pada kondisi seperti ini itu artinya segalanya mentok, titik tanpa koma gua ga tau mau ngapain, hingga timbullah bosan itu sendiri (muluk-muluk amat kan?anjrit!).

Lo tau ga seharian ini gua starting online dari pukul 3 siang?(nanya siapa lo??). Dan ini udah pukul 10 malam gua masih ngemainin ini barang (laptop maksudnya,jangan ngawur bejat). Bosan tentunya kan? Padahal besok itu gua punya kewajiban untuk konsultasi proposal skripsi sama dosen, dan proposalnya sama sekali ngga gua liat, sama sekali enggaaaaaaaa (udah gabisa dibiarkan ini mah).

Konsultasi ini sendiri adalah syarat untuk kelanjutan untuk ngedapatin pembimbing skripsi. Belum lagi konsultasi ini sendiri yang ribet naujubenteng buat gua mual tujuh hari tujuh malam arghhhhhh (ini berle sekali lho bung). Nah karena ini lagi yang buat gua stress dan timbul rasa bosan berkepanjangan.

First you have to install The Rockusb Driver v2.0, according to this video tutorial. Then you must to download the Pipo Smart S1 TNT Release 5 Firmware Image from here or from here. Next download the Rockchip Batch Tool v1.5 from here.

Now put the Pipo S1 tablet into firmware update mode (pressing in the same time the Volume Down button + a thin pin into reset hole), run the Rockchip Batch Tool v1.5, select the pipo_s1_TNT_R5.img file and press Restore button. Wait for 4-5 minutes and thats it. After reboot youll get "corrupt sd-card" problem or the internal SD is not mounted, but a quick format will fix that.

PhoenixCard is a software that let you burn Android firmwares on micro SD cards. Phoenixcard is free Windows based software designed to create bootable images and write them to connected removeable drives, such as SDCARDs or MicroSDs. The removeable drive is then placed into the target device and the device is made to boot from the removeable drive, applying an update or complete reimage to the target.  It is used especially for Allwinner A10 ARM processors.

Download PhoenixCard v3.06 from here, here or here.

Create installation SD card.
Important: This will erase the SD card

• Download and unzip the Phoenixcard archive to a folder on your PC. 
• Unzip the single (imagename).img from the downloaded image to an accessible folder on your Windows system.
• Obtain a micro SD card of at least 1GB in size and connect it to your PC in some fashion. It should be accessible under a drive letter in Windows.
• Browse to the folder where you unzipped Phoenixcard and find the PhoenixCard.exe file with the green folder icon next to it. Double click to launch. The Phoenixcard software will launch.
• Using the drop down to the right of Disk select the windows drive letter that contains your Micro SD card.
• Click on the image button and browse to whereever you extracted (imagename).img to, and select the file.
• Ensure Product is selected under Write Mode. Product mode will create a self booting Micro SD designed to apply a separate image to a device.
• Click on Burn. Pay attention to the status messages. Once it is complete you can eject the Micro SD from your windows system.

Instructions
1. Download the rooting application. (This app can root many other devices)
2. Install the app. This is a Chinese app so I will guide you.
3. Start VROOT and root now!
4. Now we need to install SuperSU from play store to replace the Chinese root manager called 授权管理 1.0.4.
5. Go to play store and install SuperSU.

6. Start SuperSU and you will be asked for permission by 授权管理 1.0.4, choose 允许(means allow). (Should be the right side option.)

7. SuperSU will prompt to install SU binary, go ahead with OK and it will display successful.
8. Now, freeze 授权管理 1.0.4 in titanium backup, just in case you need it again.
Note: If you uninstall straight away from app manager, you need to make sure SuperSU updated the binary.
9. Re-run SuperSU to make sure everything is alright. You will be prompt again to install SU binary, just do what it asked.
10. After that, you are rooted with SuperSU and 授权管理 1.0.4 will not be there anymore.

Optional

11. If you want to be more assured, in SuperSU app, prepare for a Reinstall in settings. (NOT Full unroot NOT Switch superuser app)
12. SuperSU will be removed and go back to play store to re-download and install.
13. Start SuperSU and SuperSU will prompt to install SU binary, go ahead with OK and it will display successful.

This is, of course, free to download for all iPhone owners, but if you’re using an iPod Touch, it’ll cost you $9.95 to upgrade to this new firmware. So what’s the fuss with iPhone OS 3.0? Well, it now comes with cut/copy/paste, MMS and landscape keyboard support not to mention a new Spotlight Search and Voice Memo feature as well as internet tethering. We can’t see any reason why you shouldn’t upgrade to this new firmware. More info here.

Unfortunately, based on early reports, we would recommend you holding out for a couple of days first before doing so. Apple has, apparently, underestimated the demand for iPhone OS 3.0 that activations for post 3.0 upgrades have started to bog down. As such is the case, we suggest you wait for a day or two to pass by when the situation starts to mellow down so you won’t encounter any hassles in the whole upgrade process. Of course, you can try your luck and upgrade now, but as they say, a little patience won’t hurt.

A while ago, we reported on some Spy Camera Glasses, a device which could take some cool pictures on the go, despite its obvious lens. In keeping with this tradition of semi-concealed cameras, we would like to present the Porta2030, a spy backpack.

At first I thought the purpose of the Porta2030 was to take pictures, then download them later like any normal camera. However, the Porta2030 is actually capable of so much more as it can stream images to a website.

In other words, if the bad guys catch you taking pictures of their secret base, they can’t eliminate the evidence by simply killing the camera. By the time they can get their mitts on the secret camera, the pictures are already out on the net, hopefully receiving many hits.

A mobile data-sensing storage system makes this feature possible, and the Porta2030 also features an open source system, a 1GB flash card, a webcam, as well as an LCD mini-terminal.

I’m not surprised that something like this has been made, because I could have really used it during CES last January. Walking around with my backpack on a shoulder and a camera in the other hand wasn’t exactly fun, and it would have been nice to have a device that could have done both. Coolest Gadgets could have had some great realtime coverage then.

I have not heard whether the Porta2030 is some lone inventor’s concept device, or an actual device ready to be marketed. If you ask me, they can’t market this soon enough.

ZhuoDaShi is a pretty good chinese rooting software for Android devices. It reaches now the 3.6.0.1015 number version. The program is actually written in Chinese so it will look odd on your PC, however I’ll show you exactly what needs to be clicked and when.

Download ZhuoDaShi version 3.6.0.1015 from here, here or here. Install ZhuoDaShi. Although the program is in Chinese it should be fairly obvious what you need to press to install it.

1. Backup your data.
2. Download the CM10.1 archive from here, here or here; extract PipoS1_CM10.1_v1.3.3.rar. Copy Oma RK30 CM10.1 Format NAND.zip file to a microSD card.
3. Hard-off the tablet by long pressing the power button (4+ seconds). Insert microSD card. Hold down the VOL- button while inserting microUSB cable to enter download mode
4. Start the RKAndroidTool.exe found in the RKDevelopTool_v1.35 folder (right-click, run as administrator). NOTE: The tool should say Found RKAndroid Loader Rock Usb. Hit EraseIDB and wait for success (Clears partition table) and then hit Run once. INFO: Run OK, Pipo S1 will boot into recovery --> **RECOVERY SHOULD BE v6.0.3.1**
5. Wipe cache, Wipe data/factory reset, Install zip from external card Oma RK30 CM10.1 Format NAND.zip and reboot. Wait 5 minutes.
6. Once the tablet starts, select your prefered launcher, hit immer (always).
7. Set the language to English: Hit the setting icon, Systemeinstellungen, Scroll down to Sprache & Einabe, Set Sprache to your desired language.
8. Fix landscape menu buttons not appearing. Go to play store, sign in. Install Textdroider DPI from play store. Set DPI to 120. Apply. Reboot. HINT: to use back & navigate button use the tablet in portrait mode.
9. Optional: If you want back the tablet interface with bottom notification bar then download TabletUI fix v1.3.2 and install it from microSD card via CWM. 


Whats new:

 Hints:
- enable development options > tap 5 times on build number
- higher performance > disable animation scales in developer options
- control Play-Store > disable auto-updates
- battery drain > set keep wi-fi on during sleep to never

- load kernel modules > enable init.d ON in Pimp my Rom (reboot)
- dont show su notifications > disable in Superuser

Unresolved Issues:
- Wifi takes a few seconds to connect from sleep
- camera is upside down
- display artifacts on screen rotation

Troubleshooting:
Problem: If you get stuck with installs the loop you back to recovery constantly, you probably have CWM-based Recovery v6.0.1.5. This recovery does not work with the original Pipo S1 kernel.
Solution: Use recovery 6.0.3.1 with kernel RK3-_kernel_308_s1_pipo

Problem: You find yourself stuck in recovery with no way to power off
Solution: Select a menu item, highlight ++++Go Back++++, when you press the power button, do not let go until tablet powers off.
